Volunteers' Pictures

Volunteers' pictures capture not only the research aspects of the project but also the social life: volunteers at campfires, picnics, community work parties, etc.  Some lucky volunteers have been present at a bear capture or seen a bear in the wild and shared their photos with us, others have photographed the mud, the rain and the beautiful mountain scenery.  The teaching volunteers have also shared images from the classroom and pictures from the playing field.
Many of the photos on this site are from volunteers - many thanks to them all for sharing their pictures with us.  Photographers have been credited where we know their names.  If you spot one of your photos here please let us know and we will put your name it.
Pictures can´t really do justice to the thrill of seeing a wild bear, the beauty of the mountain scenery, or the fun of being part of a group of volunteers swapping travel stories around the candlelit kitchen table during a power cut.  The images on this site and in the volunteers' photo gallery will give you just a glimpse of the volunteering experience, but we suggest you come and volunteer to be part of the picture yourself!
